Geomodelling Introduction

Instructors: G. Caumon and L. Grose.

This short course provides an introduction to main challenges and issues facing geoscientists when they aim to build 3D geological models from data interpretations. Outcrop data leads to sparse and at best 2D interpretations.

An example of Digital Outcrop Model serves as support for modelling 3D geological structures using the Loop open-source software

During this short course, the attendees are invited to discuss with the presenters in order to provide direct feedback and share ideas.

The registration includes:

  • Access to the shortcourse platform
  • Access to the software
  • Dataset
